Maska is an owner surrender as unfortunately, his family was unable to continue caring for him. Maska is a big boy who is very dog friendly.
Maska is a confident dog and he needs to experience more of what life has to offer. Maska completed one week of professional training and now knows all of his basic commands: sit, down, stay and heel. He attended doggie daycare every day for several weeks and loved running with the other dogs.
Maska is still a little cautious around new people. He does not like it when people make fast movements toward him or surprise him in anyway. Maska is scared of children and would prefer to live in a home with adults. We have been working hard at socializing him.
Maska is a level 3 dog and will need a strong handler who is experienced with large breed or working dogs. Maska is now living in a foster home in San Jose with two other GSD’s. Maska’s foster mom says that he is slowly learning to trust her and is flinching less when she reaches to pet him or put on his collar. Maska sleeps freely on a dog bed in the master bedroom and does really well. He does pull on the leash while out for a walk and is still learning his house manners.
We will update his bio once we learn more about him.
