Puff is a sweet and loving 10-month old pup who was picked up as a stray by Sacramento Animal Control. He is happy, friendly and ready to find a companion he can bond with through training so he can mature into a good citizen GSD.
Puff is living in a foster home with a couple of college students and a female Husky-mix. He was housebroken from day one and has only had an occasional accident in the house. He walks well on leash and checks in from time to time, and he is a charm on car rides.
Puff is slowly adjusting to being crated when needed and settles down after some initial resistance and whining. He is learning house manners and is accepting of rules like no dogs on the couch.
Puff was an active player in doggie play groups at the shelter, and he is compatible and playful with his canine foster sibling, although he sometimes forgets his size can be a bit overwhelming. He is generally friendly with other dogs when out and about and when a bit too focused on small ones he is easily redirected.
Puff is too intrigued with cats to live with one permanently, although he does redirect when told to do so when out on walks.
Puff is a Level 3 being fostered in Sacramento.
