Divorce and change in housing.

Kirby was a chubby little 9-month old stray pup when he first came into Rescue a year ago. He was adopted and has been loved and well cared for while maturing into a handsome and loving GSD, inside and out.

Due to an unfortunate change in family dynamics, Kirby has been returned in need of finding a new forever home, sadly but for the best. His adopters are fostering him until he has found his new family, hopefully in time for Christmas.

When in Rescue the first time around, Kirby was fostered in Davis by a UCD student where he lived with a cat, kittens and other dogs (big and small), and was well socialized to start him on the path of becoming a good citizen GSD. That socialization, as well as some basic obedience training, has continued in his adoptive home.

Sweet and goofy, Kirby loves attention and will seek it from people young and old. He is housebroken, crate trained, sleeps through the night, walks well on leash and travels well in the car. He has a good alarm bark to let you know when someone is at the door. He can spend time alone without being destructive when his people are away.

While not currently living with any dogs or cats, Kirby is still good around both from his earlier exposure as a pup and continued socialization. He is also good around children.

Kirby is a Level 3 currently being fostered in Napa.
