Oakleigh is a five year female German Shepherd who was picked up as a stray and brought to a shelter. She has been attending professional training classes with her foster family and does well in basic obedience. She is initially hesitant to try new experiences but gains confidence when working with a skilled handler.

Oakleigh is house trained and rides well in the car. She does very well when working with the young son in the foster family. Like most shepherds she loves children. She is good with other dogs but has not been tested with cats.

Oakleigh can be barky when guests arrive at her foster home, but never shows any signs of aggression. The trainer has suggested teaching her that her crate is a safe place to go when she is unsure about household activities.
