Silo or “Si as his previous owners called him was an owner surrender who was turned back into the Peninsula Humane Society because the owner did not have the experience or patience to train Silo. His surrender form states that the family loved him but just couldn’t deal with his mouthiness. Silo is a very happy and energetic puppy. He has had very little training and would benefit greatly from some obedience classes with his new adopter. Silo will be attending weekly basic training while he is living in Milpitas.

Silo is good with other dogs, although he does get overwhelmed when there are too many dogs around him. Silo is very affectionate and will roll over for belly rubs. Even though Silo is good with children at this stage he should not go home with young children due to his high energy and mouthiness.

Silo is housebroken and crate trained. He loves treats which will help with his training. He loves to play fetch and enjoys a good game of tug of war.

Silo is a level 3 dog. He will need an adopter to commit to basic obedience training.

Since being with GSRNC, we have seen a great improvement with Silo. His mouthiness has decreased and he is responding to the training and structure he is now receiving.

Silo is currently living in a foster home in San Francisco.
