Lucky is an owner surrender from San Francisco. He was surrendered along with his friend Dawnica. The owner was forced to surrender the puppies along with several other dogs to the SF ACC after he started receiving complaints about excessive amounts of dogs and barking on his property.

Lucky is a 10 month old GSD / Malamute Mix. He lives up to his name as he is dog friendly and a total sweetheart. He has participated in 2 obedience classes and will need to continue training with an adopter. Lucky is a fluffy, 84 lb., mild mannered temperament, bundle of fun and a favorite with the staff when he was at the kennel.

Lucky is now in a foster home in Portola Valley. He is living with two children and has a lot of interaction with other dogs. Lucky tries to sit patiently in the home office when his foster mom is working, although that is not always the case. He will jump up on her, letting her know when it is time to play. An adopter will need to work on his bad habit of jumping up on people. Lucky does like to play with toys and will need some chew toys as well. As soon as the kids come home from school, Lucky lights up and cant wait to have them love him, cuddle with him, teach him new tricks and play with him. He is also a fan of his doggie playdates with the neighbors dogs. He loves to play with dogs, big and small. He is gentle and not overbearing with other dogs. Lucky is a dog park dog.

Lucky is working on crate training. He would prefer not to be confined in the crate and will try to escape. Lucky is also not cat friendly and will give chase if given the opportunity.

An adopter will need to commit to obedience training and continued socialization for Lucky.

Lucky is a level 3 puppy and adopters will need to be puppy approved.
