Carsten was a stray found in Los Banos. During our evaluation he was quite shy and submissive with his tail tucked. He did however enjoy running around in the play yard and initiated play with a female GSD. He was not interested in toys or food, but when we handed him a pigs ear, he ran around playing keep away. Once we caught up to him, he gave it up with no issues.

Carsten is a gorgeous young dog with vibrant blue eyes and a solid temperament He has moderate energy and just really loves being around his people. He is living in a foster home with 2 children in a family of four. Carsten has attended the girl scout cookie booths, working to attract attention to help and sell some cookies. He loves to get pets from all of the passerbys and the girl scouts. He has been a real Trooper;)

Carsten is good around other dogs, engaging them in play. He is still learning not to be too pushy with other dogs. Carsten is house trained and crate trained. He is just learning to play with some toys. Carsten does need some basic obedience training, but he is easy to correct. He also needs to learn some house manners, such as not counter surfing. His foster family is working on correcting this behavior.

Carsten is a level 3 and is not a high energy dog. Still he does perk up when he sees a cat in not such a good way, so not cats for this boy.
